Riki’s RUHS basketball “season” is underway with Fall league, practices 4 days a week and two days of conditioning! RUHS has won its first two games of the league, over Paramount and Fremont. They face a challenge this Saturday against Serra at 5:30 p.m. at Serra HS in Gardena (on Van Ness and Marine). So far, so good, as Riki has been the starting point guard since the beginning of summer.
We are also beginning to raise funds for the program via advertising in the RUHS Media Guide. The RUHS girls basketball program has won four CIF division championships since 2000 and 6 of the last 7 Bay League titles. We will be putting together a friends and family ad again, so any contribution will be appreciated. You can send a check to us at:

Another fundraising support opportunity for those in the South Bay is to join us at Ruby’s Diner in the Redondo marina (just north of the pier) on Tuesday, October 29th anytime from 5-9 p.m. 20% of purchases (including take-out) accompanied by the attached flier will go towards the RUHS Girls Basketball Program.
