Summer Comes to a Close with a Win

Riki’s JA community team, the FOR Tomodachis, came away from the Hollywood Dodgers tournament in Las Vegas with the 9th grade (entering 10th grade) championship by virtue of a 33-30 victory over the FOR Island Girls, the dominant team in their grade level over the past four years. Riki, still nursing a sprained left ankle aggravated in the Marumoto camp during the first week of August, scored 4 points in the final game, and 6 and 9 pts in the previous two games.

After six weeks of playing almost constantly, Riki gets to rest for a couple of weeks before school and basketball start up again. Will update you when her Redondo schedule gets finalized.
